This guide walks you through the essential steps to go from a new account to an active noou environment. By the end, you will have uploaded knowledge, seen a Knowledge Health evaluation, run your first interaction, and reviewed what that interaction reveals about your organization’s knowledge.
1

Create your account

Go to noou.app and sign up for an account. During registration, you will either create a new organization or join an existing one if your team is already using noou.If you are starting fresh, give your organization a name that reflects how your team refers to itself internally — this name will appear throughout the platform.
2

Add your first knowledge

Once inside your organization, navigate to the Knowledge section and upload your first document. Start with something foundational — a core process, a key policy, or an operational guide that your team references regularly.Upload your organizational documents in the formats you have available. noou processes the content and prepares it for health evaluation and use in interactions.
Exact file format and size limits will be documented as the product evolves. If you encounter an issue with a specific file, refer to the Knowledge section of this Help Center for current guidance.
3

Explore Knowledge Health

After uploading, noou evaluates your document across eight dimensions: currency, consistency, ownership, accessibility, coverage, usage, comprehension, and application.Open the Knowledge Health view to see how your document scores. Pay attention to dimensions with lower scores — these indicate where your knowledge may be working against you before anyone has even used it. Ownership and currency are common starting points for organizations uploading knowledge for the first time.
4

Start your first interaction

Go to the Interactions section and submit a question or describe a situation that someone on your team might realistically face. Use a real example — something that has come up before, or a scenario where you know the answer should be in the document you uploaded.noou will retrieve the relevant knowledge, apply it to your question or situation, and return a response grounded in the content you have provided. This is not a keyword search — noou interprets the situation and draws on the knowledge it has been given.
5

Review the evidence

After your interaction, open the Evidence section to see what that interaction has begun to surface. Even a single interaction starts to reveal something: whether the knowledge answered the question clearly, whether anything was missing, and what the pattern might indicate if that question came up repeatedly. As more people interact with noou, evidence accumulates into patterns — recurring gaps, comprehension issues, and needs that you can act on to improve both your knowledge and your team’s capability.
